FAQs

Do you ship worldwide?

Yes. We ship internationally from Tamaki Makaurau (Auckland, New Zealand).

When can I expect my order to arrive?

We send our book orders out twice a week. Locally (New Zealand) you should be able to receive your book within 2 business days from us sending it. For international orders it can take up to 10 business days.

What reading age would are your books designed for?

The appropriate age for our books are ideal for 6-8 year olds. However, it is important to note that these books were designed to be read as stories for you and youraīga(extended family). This means our bilingual books are suitable for children of all ages, from toddlers (age 4) to older children (age 12).

Do you offer bulk or wholesale discounts for schools, libraries, and other organisations interested in purchasing your bilingual books?

Yes! We love supporting Educators, School Librarians, Wholesalers & Distributors.

Any orders with more than 20 units can be bought at a special wholesale price. Please send us an enquiry using the contact form if you have further inquiries about ordering and shipping in bulk.

How do you incorporate the Samoan traditions, cultural values, and beliefs into your books?

We do this by sharing stories from our lived experience as Pacific People. This is coupled with our teams cultural knowledge and expertise in translation and interpretation. We frame our stories in a way where young readers are able to be see themselves in stories visually and thematically.

Our bestsellers are in the English and Samoan language so a majority of the themes center around the Fa'aSamoa - the Samoan way of life, cultural identity and traditions.

How do you ensure that your books are translated accurately?

After writing the copy and pairing it with illustrations, we run our translations through at least three Gagana Samoa Language Experts and Cultural Advisors. We do our best to be as thorough as we can during this Quality Control Process which means one book can take up to 6 months to complete. Cultural relevancy and accuracy is an important aspect in our design and creative process.

Do you have any eBooks or digital copies of your books available for sale?

Watch this space!

We will be launching eBooks and digital downloads at the end of July 2024.
